I am Bitody - or as some might know me, Skirtingas. I consider myself a chill developer, and I'm also a musician, specifically a pianist.
I've been playing the piano for over 8 years, though I only started spending serious time and energy on it about 2 years ago.
I'm also a big Minecraft fan and player. I enjoy PvP, but what I mostly do in Minecraft is create custom experiences for others.
I make things other people can either use or enjoy, primarily Minecraft Plugins and Servers. Currently, a project called Playward is on hold because I'm focusing on another project. I don't want to spoil too much about Playward!
Right now, as I'm building this website, I'm focused on learning web development.
My journey through online names has been quite a trip.
It all started with kitoxis, a name I used often and always found myself returning to after various changes - it really stuck with me.
But recently, I started looking for a name that was... different.
My first try was Kitoks. It kept the core meaning of "Different," which I liked. Sadly, my plan didn't quite work out because that name was already taken in most places.
Next, I tried Kitosk. This variant still subtly meant "Different" (even with the swapped letters), and it also brought in the programming language I use a lot: Skript.
However, after getting feedback from my dad, friends, and brother, it was clear that Kitosk wasn't quite right.
That's when I started thinking about new ideas. I looked for other Lithuanian words for "Different," since it's a unique and expressive language. And that, my friends, is how the name Skirtingas was created.
I liked that name, but after a while, something clicked. I realized the name only had meaning in Lithuanian, and the problem is that I mostly spend time in international/English communities.
So I started the search again and came up with Bitody. It's a simple name, with no real hidden meaning. It's just a personified Bit :D
Don't worry, I'm not giving up on being Skirtingas - that will simply be the name of my second account, which I'll mostly use for Lithuanian projects.
Before it became Starfal, my project had a different name: RedSRV.
Originally, Starfal wasn't even meant to be a developer team; it started its life as a Minecraft server focused on the BoxPVP game mode.
Unfortunately, after separating from the other "Owner," my desire to keep the BoxPVP server going faded. That was the point where I switched my focus to plugin development instead.
After about a year of only maintaining Starfal's plugins and offering support, I realized something: I was the only active member within what was supposedly the "Developer Team."
Because of this, I decided to officially move the team's assets and projects under my sole control, as that's effectively how they had been operating anyway.
